Is making the hair really so difficult in shapelab?

One issue I have is that the mesh doesnt merge or stretch so it follows the exact shape of the curve as a single mesh. Rather my one follows the curve, is still tapered but keeps its' original mesh shape so it's like dotted, tapered rectangles following the mesh :/ please help

How did you add a bone in Pose mode without goes to Object mode?

What's this crazy with VR thing ? I mean you can do everything in standard 2D screen. If you want some real thing, you need clay then. Why waste time with this ? Is end product better ?

Uhhh, did they just kick off a real third competitor to Zbrush with their desktop mode? I mean, Nomad sculpt is nowhere to be seen on PC. Blender's great, but it's still not zbrush.

PSA, I bought a nearly new Quest 2 on Ebay for $185, and Shapelabs for $48 on a discount ! (Also, use Blender, of course). It's a long time coming for the Hardware, and Software to level up, into this System ! Thanks Danny, for the years of first rate training ! This is very exciting..... ~Daniel (Quest 2 is nearly Q3 resolution, Don't spend $600 on your first system, until your sure you love it). A UA-cam guy had "3 curved screens setup" ($5k), not even compete with the VR HEADSET for immersion...

I find starting from scratch gives them more character too. I wont get lazy and just use the existing elbow shape or ear. It forces me to go in and redo it which makes it different every time.

No radial symmetry for me is a big pain, the app is great but radial is a small thing that could help a lot.

Been playing with ShapeLab since it came out on Steam. It's certainly the most intuitive of the current VR modeling options. I really hope they'll add a custom shape stamps option or quicker copy paste boolean union options. For things like creature scales or kit bashing.

If PolyPaintIT did not work for you, then here is a working method. You need to increase the intensity so that the brush clearly highlights the polygons. RGB Intensity: 100. Focal Shift: minus 100.

I actually don't like to move the model I like to move around the model. Another thing is that I don't like how it's so easy to reverse which makes it easy to make a mistake you don't notice.

Currently 17 and I've been drawing for over 13 years, My entire life revolves around character design, and 2d /3d animation, I picked up blender and within 2 days i got a hang of blender. I plan on getting a job soon so i can afford a better pc. Honestly I'm pretty hopeful.

The finished piece looks fantastic, as ever, but I am so gutted you didn't manage to do it in the other pose with the background and everything else! :( I totally understand why you couldn't but I was so looking forward to see how you would tackle an environment with your level of finish (which I rate highly) but also it would have looked sick!

God tier sculpting. I've seen so much concept art get totally butchered when it's translated to 3D, even at the highest levels of feature animation. This on the other hand, is a PERFECT translation to 3D! And actually better than the concept art in many ways. The hair for example, has some expertly crafted curves. Really amazing job.
